What kind of medicine is dangerous

It has long been known that powerful laxatives can cause miscarriage. Constipation is common during pregnancy, but laxatives that have never been used before should never be used at will.

Thalidomide, once a social sensation, has been discontinued. For drugs that are safe for patients other than pregnant women, the instructions should say "use with caution for pregnant women" and be used in clinics. If the instructions are not read carefully, or the date of menstruation is not confirmed, such drugs may appear in the prescription of women who are likely to become pregnant. Experienced pharmacists may be able to detect when a patient gets a prescription and goes to a pharmacy to buy the medicine. But sometimes the doctor doesn't give the prescription to the patient or give the name of the medicine to the patient, so the patient doesn't know what the medicine is. Therefore, for the sake of safety, the patient should know the relevant contents of the treatment in detail. To do this, the doctor should tell the patient the name of the drug. Caught a cold, sore throat, nasal congestion, cough, determined to be on the feeling, it is best not to go to the hospital. There's no specific medicine for the cold virus, and there's no telling what your doctor will give you. It is best not to use aspirin when you are pregnant. Children born with this medicine are likely to bleed if they take it before delivery.

In order to prevent the cold to develop into pneumonia, prevent suppurative infection, and often use some antibiotics, because tetracycline family medicine can make children born teeth yellow, so should avoid using. Some antihistamines come with instructions not to be used by pregnant women, so it's best to be sure not to take cold medications purchased from the drugstore.

Among the drugs with teratogenic potential, thalidomide, follicular synthesis hormone and mitotic antagonists in anticancer drugs have been well known. Thalidomide has now been discontinued, and women who use cancer drugs may not get pregnant (there have also been reports of mothers with leukemia getting pregnant after their fathers used cancer drugs and giving birth to normal babies). Follicular synthetic hormones, often used to prevent abortion, have proved ineffective and are generally no longer used. However, the drug is still used in some countries, and it is reported to cause sexual organ abnormalities in infants.

So far, no medicine has been invented that is truly effective in preventing miscarriage. At the first sign of a possible miscarriage, such as a doctor's request to take follicular synthetic hormones, should be firmly refused.

Other drugs that may cause fetal malformation include anticonvulsants (often used in epilepsy), warfarin (often used after heart valve replacement), ethanol, lithium salts for mania, volatile anesthetics for use in the operating room. Anticonvulsants can cause cleft lip (cleft lip) and congenital heart disease, and warfarin can cause nasal bone deformity. Ethanol can cause stunting, microcephaly, congenital heart disease, joint malformation and so on.

The targets at risk of anesthetics in the operating room are mainly female doctors and nurses working in the operating room and have little to do with the patients who operate there.

Recently, the relationship between the amount of ethanol and the incidence of deformities has been gradually clarified. The amount of drinking per day according to pure ethanol calculation, if more than 60 grams, 5 people will have 1 person cause deformed children, 25 ~ 60 grams when 10 people have 1 person, 25 grams below may not be absolutely safe. The effects of drinking alcohol at different times of pregnancy also varied, with the closer to conception the greater the effect. Every night must drink 1 bottle of beer or 1 glass of white wine to be satisfied, should contraception, or only in the beginning of menstruation within 10 days of drinking had better.

Other drugs that may cause the malformations include ergodiethylamine (taken for hallucinations), progesterone syntheses (also found in birth control pills), and folate antagonists (methotrexate)
